Thank you for re-electing me as your member of parliament. Having lived in the area for over 30 years, and brought up my family here, I care about local issues. It is a great honour and a privilege to represent Mid Dorset & North Poole and over the last 8 years I have done my best to act as a strong voice for local people.

Annette Brooke MP supports campaign to improve disabled children's health services New!

Mid Dorset and North Poole MP Annette Brooke attended a Parliamentary reception this week to highlight the failure of the NHS to meet even the basic needs of disabled children, including those with palliative care needs.

Annette Brooke has been selected by charity Action for Children for their 'Celebrity Journey' exhibition to help raise awareness of the complex and difficult journeys that thousands of the most vulnerable children make every day.

A dangerous new street design that puts the blind and partially sighted; disabled and elderly, as well as young children in danger has been condemned at a Westminster event organised by The Guide Dogs Association for the Blind.

Annette Brooke MP supports campaign for better sounding schools

Annette Brooke MP from Mid Dorset North Poole has joined the National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS) in calling for the Government to ensure new schools meet national building standards so that all children can listen and learn effectively. This is in light of new Freedom of Information data (1) received by NDCS showing only 21% of the local authorities who responded in England stated they had new schools in their area with acoustics that meet the Government's building standards.
